The body consumes oxidations in the foods that are eaten, the water that is consumed, and the pollutants that are inhaled on a daily basis.  Consuming foods that are high in antioxidants is extremely beneficial to help fight these toxins.  So here are a few super foods with super amounts of antioxidants.

Blueberries – they have one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any fruit.  They contain anthocyanin, vitamin C, B Complex, Vitamins  E & A, copper (a very effective immune builder and anti-bacterial), selenium, zinc, and iron, plus other health boosting essentials.  A few areas that blueberries help in, are with vision, heart disease, brain, urinary tract, constipation and digestion.

Strawberries – are another exceptional antioxidant.   One 53 calorie cup has more vitamin C than an orange.  Strawberries are
also an excellent food to help with less muscle pain and soreness after
grueling workouts.  They contain anthocyanins, which is a natural pain reliever.

Kiwis – are one of the most nutritionally dense fruits and are also full of antioxidants.  One large kiwi supplies your daily requirement for vitamin C.  They also are a good source of potassium, fiber, and vitamin A & C.  Kiwi is also a mild laxative due to the high content of fiber.

Mangoes – are a great source of vitamin C and beta carotene which are …antioxidants.  They also provide a good amount of fiber.

Pineapples – contains an enzyme call bromelain which helps with numerous ailments.  Bromelain helps with the prevention of blood clots, thyroid problems, digestion issues, high blood pressure, sinusitis, and also is a natural anti-inflammatory.

Watermelons – also are loaded with numerous antioxidants.  Some of the health benefits of watermelon include kidney disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, and macular degeneration.  They also help quench inflammation that contributes to arthritis, asthma, atherosclerosis, colon cancer, and diabetes.

Chow down on some super fruits and feel great!
